It's hard to beat good OL military combat boots or Jump Boots,,
Cheap at any Army Navy surplus joint.
Put em on,,
Lace em up tight,,,
Go stand In a pond,,
soak em good,,,
wear em dry,,
Mink Oil em to death,,,

I'm still running a pair of flightline boots from my Navy days with goodyear tread ... issued in 1993 ... yes, that is 93!! Just clean the leather and wax it up, they should last a lifetime.
Remembering back, they were the most painful blistering pieces of crap ever handed out. Within a few weeks of daily wear, they were more comfortable than a new pair of running shoes and still are.

I just bought a pair of thourougoods from this website, cost me less then the old moco boots i had and they are made right here in the good ol' US of A and they are a solid boot....good luck!
