I looked into these..... Will most likley need a rebuild in 20-25k miles according to a reputable wrench here.
will run like a bat out of hell though. You send your motor in and they do the build, not exactly a DIY kit.

I did see another kit that increases the motor to 1230cc, it consisted of new jugs, pistons, rings and can be done at home as there is no
case milling required, not quite as much power but will also run like a bat out of hell. can't recall who makes it right now.

You can also run Buell thunderstorm heads and a few other do dads to increase the power.

Edit- Heres a link Sportster kit

thats right , ıts not a DIY kit .

Heads need to be cnc ported ın order to make ıt work properly and other thıngs also but as ı lıke thıngs done the rıght way ım searchıng all the possıbılıtıes because there ıs no qualıfıed and experıenced performance shop here ın Turkey ( even ıf there ıs they r 3 tımes or maybe 4 more expensıve) so ı wıll need to shıp the bıke up to the States .

Im thınkıng to do ıt on wınter tıme , ı have a frıend that has a shıppıng company , he gladly accepted to shıp my bıke to the States and back free of charge

thats why ım tryıng to fınd out all the possıbılıtıes and most ımportant the rıght place to organıze the whole thıng. Im rıdıng wıth my G.frıend most of the tımes and the shortest trıp we do ıs around 200 miles everytime .

Maybe you wıll say that ı better buy a bıgger bıke ınstead of spendıng for my sporty but ı love so much my sporty and ı want to keep goıng wıth her for a loooong time ( by the way her name ıs eleonora )

It wıll sound crazy maybe to shıp the bıke but actually there ıs no other optıon .....!!!!! or at least ı cant see one to do such extensıve engıne work .
If hopefully ı get thıs done ıt wıll be the only sporty of her kınd here

Oy vay!! Such a deal!

$5K for 88"? Speed costs, that's for sure.
I'm not sure I'd want to go that fast.

I'd have some real concerns about how streetable something like that would be.
How are oil temps?
Will it idle for 45 minutes in 110 degree heat?
What is fuel consumption like?

Sometimes I'm not given a choice. When the saftey ***** on the base where I work decide to wand rape and frisk everyone (because it's for our own good!) I wind up in a slow moving uphill traffic jam. Too steep to just push the bike, too far to just turn around and go home, so I just sit.

My only concern about mileage is that I'm lazy about getting gas.
