thats great man!!! 10in zs dont need any cables or anything no. i did have to unbolt the fastners that hold the hard line brake line to the fork brace and under the down tubes. i would suggest (but not required) a new front brake line bc it kinda looks outta place, im lookin for one now.

Can these bars be drilled for internal wiring?

took some time on Sunday to put in these bad boys. took all of maybe 20mins. Cro is right about having to unfasten the bolt that holds the brake hardline, at least i'm guessing that's what it's called. i need to up my skills in knowing around my bike. but the bars are flipping sweet. gives it a different kind of stance when you look at it. i'll definately need to drill the bars and get it set-up for some internal wiring to clean it up.

question though, me being totally 'wet' behind my ears in messing around with this first Harley of mine. how the hell do i take off the other bar grip? the none accelarator one.

oh here's my photo link to the bike

You can try anything from heating the grip with a hair dryer to using wd-40 to remove the grip.

BTW the bars look great! I just ordered mine, can't wait to install them.

Default 10" Nash Gimps

I went back and forth between the 10" & 12" Nash Gimps. I just got my 10" Gimps last week. They look really cool. I opted for the 10" gimps cuz I didn't want to extend the cables. But as it turns out, I'm going to extend the cables so I can run them internally. I'm also going to get a longer brake line so I don't have to unbolt the hardline. The clutch, idle, and throttle cables don't need to be replaced.

Questions:
I was thinking that if I extend the cables to run internally, I could extend them 12". For those who have done this, do you know if this enough length?

Also, for the brake line, I was thinking I would just replace the top half +10".

Here are a couple pics of it mocked up.

My suggestion if you want Nash Gimps, expect to wait 3 - 6 weeks. I got mine on the 7th week.

BTW... the Z bars look awesome (sorry to hijack your thread).

Take your air compressor and put a small attachment in the end (near the center of the bars) and blow them off. You still have to twist it a little bit but they will come off the factory barely puts any glue on them.

I just got my "blemished" z-bars in....cant find a mark on them.
