If they are the right ones for your bike there should be no problems, worse scenario is you can put some washers on or cut a spacer for it to clear the belt guard.

The set I bought came with four spacers 5/16" thick (they need paint):

Look at the profile of the shock and see if it's offset. There might be a spacer that goes through the eyelet that is thicker on one side. 04-07 XL Customs take the same shock 11.5". Others-13"

the ones i have, have a cover over the bottom part where yours adjusts, i have a cover and that is what hits the belt guard. I have a spacer that fits in the hole where the screw goes.

You can see that in the pic above, too. Do check for an off-set between the top and bottom mounts of the shock. It's easy to miss, but you can see the off-set in the pic at the bottom most component of the shock. My OL's bike has the chrome 412 with the lower covers on an '04. To make the shocks perpendicular to the ground, there's a spacer at the top in board. The spacer outboard of the bottom mount is because the bolt I used was long. This is the set-up I came up with back in '03 when the bike was new and the new frames were just out. It's worked for 30,000 miles:

When i order these shocks at our shop, the book says that modifying the belt-guard or using a spacer may be necessary for some models..the people you bought the shocks from should have told you this.
