Really? When you get a chance please post some pics of your Led Sled experience...I'm interested because I plan on using them for a CB750 project I have. Please don't say you "heard" they were junk.
Now, welds can be fixed and made better, but the fit and angles also looked better to my eyes on the KK kit.
I dont know or care what led sleds cb750 kit looks like since I dont own one. I speak from hands on looking at the peices of metal sitting on the ground before being installed I was more comfortable putting my *** on the KK workmanship than the other.

led sled's start at the same angle as the stock back bone right above the engine. and goes all the way down to the axle.
the KK's start right after the engine, and then drop more at an angle, must like that bike pictured above, with the zebra tank granted, it's still got it's original swing arm...
a Led Sled ...
and a fellow member on here, choppedNBobbed's awesome led sled bike..

and here's some KK bikes on their site...

now, i'm not saying they're crap, i'm just saying, i'm not to into the more aggressive angled drop after the tank making the bike a bit shorter and more "bent" look. ya know?
BUT, on the solid mount pre 04 motors I couldnt disagree with you more. Choppedbobbed is a good looking bike no doubt, and ive seen it in person. BUT I would rather have the drop off as you point out in the backbone and line down to the rear axel than the absolutely terrible (in my eyes) hard *** 90degree bend under the seat of the led sled. Look at the KK pics and how the post for the rear motor mount is curved and the oil bags sits behind it. On the led sled pre 04 it comes up behind the oil tank and makes a right angle under the seat. From the pics you posted of the led sled ones it is not so pronounced, but seeing it in person and other photo angles I could never get used to it. the 90 dgree bend does not flow with the other frame rails and it sits differently when the angle of the camera is different.
Again, just pointing out the differences of the different models of rear sections, my opinion,
