well I'm going against the norm responses here but why the heck would you take the shocks off and take the fender off. you mention being dirty, ride the thing without a fender then tell us how dirty it is. I don't get it. all that stuff is there for more than just show, it serves a purpose.

The purpose that the fender serves doesnt outweigh its ugliness...of course its going to get dirtier when riding through puddles but who cares...its not like the front fender sheilds the ENTIRE bike and if you get caught in the rain...i doubt the fender will help keep water out of your face.
if it gets dirty who cares...clean it...its personal preference.
as far as the struts go...again...personal preference...to be honest...solid struts in place of stock shitty shocks really dont make a HUGE difference.
also, if i had lowered the bike that much with regular shocks i would have some bottoming out issues...i like the rigid ride anyway.
Those struts look great, maybe the best I've seen. The problem I have with most struts, beside the fact that I'm old and they'd beat me to death, is that most just look too skinny.I like the way they've been machined to look like a full size shock, something not even "notshocks" does.PS. the ride on my Bob with short heavy duty shocks and a thin low profile seat is actually worse than the ride was on my rigid Triumph chop with a nice king and queen seat.
