Default Harley Forward Controls Under $150.00!

For those wanting forward controls and not wanting to spend $300+ here's a list of Harley parts that will convert your current mid controls to forwards for less than $150.00! These are referenced from the Harley parts manual. I used my 2007 Low to try this out and it works perfect. You are saving money by not buying the pedals and one shift linkage part which are already on your bike. Just ask for these parts off of a C model to make it easy, they are all interchangeable.

Left Side Shift Peg Mount 2004-present $35.95
Right Side Brake Peg Mount 2004-present $38.95
Shift Linkage Rod 2004-present $28.00
Brake Rod 2004-present $36.30
Total $139.20!
If you want a Chrome set of peg mounts, you can get them for $94.99 or $20.00 more!
These are list prices,so if you get a HOG discount or some type, you can save even more.
The only thing you have to do is loosen your transmission shift arm, remove the peg and point downwards to connect your shift rod.
Hope this helps someone.

They are black. Harley also offers them in chrome. Go to any dealer and ask for C model peg mounts,it's that easy. Here's the chrome parts for $94.95 #42705-04 I'll post the black parts tomorrow once I get on my work computer. To give you an example of how this works. The little shift arm on your transmission is $66.15 from Harley. They include this part in the forward control kit. So your paying this money for something you already have, same as the brake pedal and shift lever. That's why the kit cost so much. I have an extra brake side mount if any one wants for $25.00 shipped let me know.

I'm pretty sure the shift and brake levers are different on the forwards. Also, it's my understanding that the forward's frame mounts are different. If you've assembled your forwards with only four additional parts would you post a pic, please.

The parts I am taking about are the frame mounts/peg mounts. They only cost 35-36 bucks each or get the chrome version for 95.00 Everything else on your current mid mounts just gets installed on the new mounts. Then you need the longer rods to finish it off.
