I've finished my engine conversion from 883 to 1250 and everything is running well. Just curious about the jet sizes anybody has used after doing this conversion.
I bumped the low jet up to a 45 (from a 42). Couldn't find a fast jet that I thought would work. I haven't really tried to tune the carb yet. Have just been getting some of those easy miles on the new engine. But I'm getting ready to start tweeking on the carb.
Not to much help on the jet size for the 1250, but was wondering how much you like the extra power? I know you're taking it easy right now breaking it in but still interested in how you like the extra power. I got my 1200 conversion done at the dealer and only put 50 miles on it when the snow and ice hit so its not going to be rode for another month or two. Ride safe!
Love the new power, especially the additional torque. Once I get just a few more gentle miles on it, I think it will be scary quick to open her up. Then plan to probably have it tuned on a Dyno.
