Default Ride time

Ok, i bought my bike to ride. this is my 3rd bike and my first Harley. i always wanted a Sporty. 1200 custom 06 btw. ok, so i got the bike i want, now im riding it to work ALOT. it sits in the parking lot all day inthe texas heat, and has been rained on several times. i clean it every weekend, but how do you thing it will hold up over time? if this is my everyday/everyother day transportation will it look like crap even with me babying the looks? i want to ride it not let it sit in the garage all week and take it out for an hr or so on the weekend. do you guys ride yours ALOT?

I ride my 2002 1200 all the time to work and it sits in the sun all day and rained on a few times but i wash it every weekend too. If it rains alot and it sits out in the parking lot then i will take it home and wash it in the garage so that theres no rust or anything so its ready for next time.

I've had mine for less than 3 months and already put 3500 miles on it. I ride it to work every day and I ride all weekend for fun. At home it's it my garage, and at work it's in a parking structure, so it's always under cover. I would suggest you get a bike cover and keep on riding!

Mine sits in the garage all week but I ride it on weekends. Don't care to sit in the 95 degree heat and humidity during rush hour when I go back and forth to work. It's not a "friendly" rush hour that I am in either but than again, what rush hour is friendly???? Sure wish my rush hour was in the backwoods somewhere

I bought a bike cover that came with a little bag, dont make fun of me for my baggy, and when i know its going to rain during the day or be REALLY hot ill cover it. The bag is like 7 inches long and 2inches round. the whole cover wraps really tight into it.

I ride to work every day where it sits in the elements all day, its now 5 years old and people ask me if its a brand new bike. I wash it every two weeks and wax it after each wash with a good wax. I also dust it every third day which takes a whole 3 minutes.

I imagine over time parking outside every day will have an affect on it just like it would a car. I would just be sure to keep it washed and waxed more often than I would if it were in my garage at home 5 days of the week.
