I wanted to mention too, a gold cap with a hole in it fell out when I took the top off. It's small, about 1/4 inch, not sure where it went so I left it out. Can anyone explain where it goes or tell me where a diagram is? I will go to the dealer and see if they have any new springs.

OK... now I think you're yanking our chain...

If not... Then I would suggest leaving the tinkering to someone else....

Ok, the gold collar goes in the hole on the top where the longer screw is that holds the throttle linkage. Figured that out. Now I need to find out if the needle goes through the collar then down the slide, or goes through the slide and the collar sits on top of it. Also, if the collar sits one way, the spring is hard to install and the needle sits low. The collar the other way and the needle sits high and the spring is easier to close the top on. I put the needle through the collar with a new spring the correct size and it is leaking fuel out the bottom of the carb. As far as tinkering, I'm no mechanic, but when I called the dealer last week, they gave me a 3 week waiting period to get it in. I would gladly pay someone else to do it.

Sally, sent you a pm with long version of re-assembly, short version;

needle into slide, white plastic spring seat with "fingers" down, just like in the picture (there is a relief cut-out that fits over the head of the needle), spring, lid.

why did you change jets?
