Congrats on the ride. That is my second favorite color combination.
The MSF course is nice and all but be sure to read David Hough's book on Proficient Motorcycling. I learned a lot from his books especially on cornering.
I don't know about other states, but in Ohio you can get your temp. license and ride for 1 year on that with restrictions. Then you can sign up for a 3 day class which is held at various community colleges throughout the state to take for your manuverability test to get your endorcement and it only cost $25. But if you have never been on a bike, the MSF course may be more suited for that.
Good move ... how come the rear tire looks so worn in photo #3? I was just wondering because I have seen 20,000 mile tires look better ... optical illusion?
As of this morning, I am the (very) proud owner of a 07 Sporster 1200C. $5800....4k miles....just couldn't pass it up. Should have the bike either later this week or early next week...then it gets to sit at my place for a month until I can take the rider safety course. Going to be a looong month.
That is a sweet looking bike you got there.
Enjoy your ride and be safe.
