Anyone use this with out the V&H Fuelpak on an 08 Sportster. Also do you have any problems reaching your forward control break pedal due to how much it sticks out. I'm sure it wouldn't be a good idea to use it with out some kind of tune. Right now I'm just running V&H Streightshot Slipons.
I can't speak about it being in the way on a Sporty, but it does not get in my way on a S.G. And once you add a high-flow air cleaner, you will have to also either add a fuel management system, or at a minimum have a flash done by your dealership.
Actually, you will discover you have better knee room than with the OEM hamcan A/C. I'm running in on too scoots and they both have forward controls. My knees/legs don't get close to touching them.
Yeah, you will fersure need to retune after install if you also run performance pipes.
I highly recommend the heavy breather because it is top quality, trouble free, fits like factory, It's easy to install and out performs all the rest.

Looks like it willl be alot easier to keep everything on the engine clean too, as in easier to reach.
The only thing about the heavy breather is it's style. It ain't for the guy who likes the nostalgic HD look....But that's the only issue you might discover with it.
Run the part number thru Zanotti's....The last time I bought one, they only wanted about 260 for it.....I printed it out and my dealer matched their price.
