Default Having the very same problem on my 05 1200c

Just tonight I had it blow the carb seal off twice, and it does blow the whole carb off, it pushed the air cleaner backing plate rite off the banjo bolts. That's one hell of a backfire. It's getting more frequent now, and I have suspected that it was the intake seals, so tomorrow I'm going to replace them and see what that does for me. I'll come back and let you all know how it goes, cause I'm sure there's lots of others out there right now trying to diagnosed the same problem.

While the carb is off, disassemble and clean it, check float level, replace the fuel hose.
