What year scoot? You sure you got the right controls? I have no idea about the 04+ sportsters, but the pre '04 ones, the mid control on the right side, you need to remove the pully cover to remove the mid peg mount.

I just did my 98 1200S this weekend. Was pretty straight forward. Biggest pain was dismantling the right side mid set-up. The dis-assembly instructions that came with the kit was not very helpful but the assembly instructions were okay.

No need to remove the pulley cover on +04 Sporty to remove mid controls.

I got it i was having a BAD day so I walked away for a while and all went well after that. DAMN things sure can get to yo uif your havin a bad day. I need to learn to walk away faster and relax. I was very easy after I walked away. And as far as instructions go I didnt have any I bought them used. Now I have to install my new plate holder and shoter shocks then it is done. I bought it just to run back and forth to work My glide is my main ride
