Gas Tanks
hello everyone, newbie here and new to the motorcycle scene in general.
just got a 99 sportster 1200 and would like to upgrade the gas tank to something bigger than the 3.x gallon tank. what tanks are bolt-on matches or easy modification to make them fit? will the new sportster tanks fit the 99?

Most non-fuel injected tanks will fit with no or just some minor modifications to the mounting points and the seat. In addition to JP Cycle, Paughco has different tanks including a new 4.5 gallon peanut style. I personally prefer the peanut style tank as that is classic Sportster, but to each their own.
