I beat the hell outta my bikes but I also know how and do fix them myself when things get mad at me. Shovels are very easy to work on yourself, as are most Pre-Twinkies. Not that Twinks are especially difficult but they do require more specialized tools and attention to detail than the older motors.

Nice and slow! I am in 5th at 35 - 40. When I'm on my bike, I'm not trying to get anywhere fast, just enjoying the ride.

Depends on my mood..

I generally only hot-rod it when im by myself and its a straight shot.. just kinda open her up and let her breath for a little bit.

I will let you know tomorrow after I pick up the new ride. Used to break my Ducati all the time though, so I guess I "drive" hard.

Twinks, Pre-Twinkies....sorry to hijack, but what the heck are you talking about. Never heard these terms before, I assume it is shovelhead talk.

Can't remember the last time I opened the throttle "wide open" on any of my Harley's...

Half throttle (or less) will get me to any speed I want quick enough.....

The only time I get on hard is a freeway entry ramp. I have found the worst thing to do on an entry is putt around and look like your trying to figure out what to do like a lot of cagers do. I pick a target at the begining and get in there as quick as I can. Then just easy crusie and get in line.

i usually rode it like i stole it... but have been trying real hard to cut that back lately.
its kinda an addiction- "hi my name is wanabe and i am addicted to speed (the other kind)". it has been at least 2 hours since my last fix...
trying real hard to give it up. every time i ride slow, i wonder "why??" !!!
