I can say that i honestly couldn't give a **** whether a salesman rides or not.
While it's fun to BS about motorcycles with someone (like... say... the parts guy), i could care less what the salesman knows about bikes or cares about bikes... all i'd care about in that scenario is how low he can get me out the door on whatever it is i'm buying.
He's not my riding buddy, he's the guy i'm negotiating a price with.

That being said, i DO think the entire staff at my local dealership are riders.
Even the women folding the shirts and tending the merch ride or at least ride-along.

Definately a better look than the 48. I wouldn't mind having one

I used to love watching them catapult off the deck at night. Great show, huh? Now, that was BAD ***!

The launching off the deck at night was not too terrifying, it was the night recoveries that frightened the hell out of me.

Even,...a worse out come... a salesman who's never ridden a bike before selling a bike to a person who has never ridden before.
Like the Harley salesperson who said i couldn't change from stock to drag bars because the cables wouldn't be long enough.
Reminds of the spares places you go into and ask for a part and they say what bike/veicle is it for,you damed if the part is not for the make they think it's for."ok,yes i understand warenty and return issues"

I talked to a guy in Kansas City at a dealer and after a short conversation about the "cool new 2010 bikes", I asked him what he rode and he said something about it being too dangerous. He did however mention that he gets to ride them all day while moving them around the property.

It's like the guy at the guitar store at the mall that told me that the acoustic guitars make their sound by "sucking the air out of the guitar". Total BS. If you're gonna sell me something, at least know what the hell you're talking about. Like was said earlier, it's one thing if you go into a deal knowing what you're buying, but the beginner is gonna get BS'd into buying whatever they push.

I don't see anything wrong with the moco for seeing what is HOT in custom aftermarket parts that people are using and incorporating some of them on the STOCK bikes.
I think it makes sense really. As far as salespeople that have never ridden ..well thats another story all together
