This 883 Sportster is a wonderful bike. Like everyone was saying, just ride who cares what anyone thinks, and I want to say thanks, you were all right. I am absolutely loving this thing.
I put foward controls on and the stage two baffel kit ("We just shove this bar down them and shoot them out when we start it) stage one they're in, stage two they're out. I actually like the driving position as it is, however was wondering how everyone likes they're drag bars.
I love my drag bars. I don't want to spoil the sporty look of my bike with a windshield, but I do a lot of freeway riding every day. The drag bars let me lean into the wind a bit which relieves me from having to constantly pull myself into the wind when I was riding in a more upright position with the stock bars. It is much more comfortable now.
If I were just doing in town riding I think they would work well - but on longer trips I personally like a more slouched back ride..what can I say..I'm 43 - so they're probably not for me. But ride your own ride and if you like em..well, there ya go.
