Default Lowering shocks

I have 11 3/4" shocks on my 1200C. I really like the look of lowered bikes. 99% of the time I ride by myself. If I used a 10 1/2 lowering shock will it be too low for two up riding? I know I would have to adjust the pre load to almost a rigid but would a 10 1/2 make it too low to have a passenger?

I used these but for an entirely different reason. I put 13.5" progressive shocks to gain suspension travel then used these to put the bike at where it would be with 12.5" shocks. They are high quality and work as advertised. My bike rides really well. They are somewhat cheaper at J&P Cycles and Dennis Kirk.

Default No Worries

I put 10.5's on mine a couple of weeks ago and haven't had any problems. It scared me when I first put em on it is LOW. but I've had a couple of ladies on with me and haven't had any issues. but they were petite don't know about a more voluptuous lady. It sure did help the handling though Huge difference in the whole attitude of the bike.

I'm 300 plus and the HD billet shocks do not bottom. I guess if you are both about 150 they would work...

I have the 10" Lick's short shocks and ride 2-up all the time. No issues.

What is your pre load set to? I like it on 2 by myself and 3 with a passenger.

I do not have any pre-load adjustments on mine. I have the first generation Lick's 10" short shocks. Lick's now has a newer version out called 2G Short Shocks, or something like that, that does have some pre-load adjustments.
