Very nice weather here lately, decided to ride into work again.
I'm glad I put on a windbreaker and some riding gloves before I left. That early morning wind can cool ya down in a real hurry, eh? Still no wind screen on the bike, but I left my laptop locked in my desk so I didn't have to wear that backpack this time.
Was a nice ride, even though the sun was awful low on the horizon to be driving east at 7:15 am. I was wearing my new shades I purchased just last night so it wasn't too bad.
Traffic was heavier this trip in, but even so, I felt more confident than last time. I even had the bike up to 75 mph for a while so as to keep up with the cages.
Cruised right on in, no incident at all. Parked the bike at the front of the parking lot near the pedestrian exit and got a few gazes from the folks that just left their boxes on wheels.
I'm looking forward to leaving today. Last time I let the bike warm up while I sat on it and had a cig. I'll be doing the same today, but this time I'll be showing my ride off to everyone as they prepare to sit in their hot, stuffy cars. [:'(]
I know how you feel! Took mine to work today for the first time. My challenge is 60 miles one way on the interstate at O'dark thirty with a bazzillion early commuters. However I get to park next to the hangar and all day long guys came in asking if that was my new bike right outside the door and "lets go start it". It was and is a special day for all new owners!
