I'm looking around for a new seat and I was curious. I wouldnt mind having a little more room to stretch out, especially once I get a windscreen. What kind of room do you find since you guys have installed a new seat? I understand most comfortable seats like the sundowner lift you up a bit, but what about moving you back?
I am comfortable riding, but after putting a few hundred miles on the freeway I wouldnt mind having the controls about an inch or so further away.
How has getting a nice comfortable seat effected your riding position?
I've had LePera's Sorrento seat on my 1200C for about 1500 miles and I love it. Less pading but better quality. A bit pricey, but the design flows with the bike much better. The wife says the back seat is a big improvement. Much more pading back there without looking like a sofa cushion.
I got the Sundowner and personally didn't notice it seating me any further forward than the stock seat, but that's just me...comfort wise, it's the "cats meow."
Hub just put my new Mustang wide solo seat on my 883 low. It does set me up higher cause when I sat on the bike I looked over the windshield instead of thru it. Hope to get a chance to ride tomorrow and see how I like the seat. Sure is A LOT more comfy than the stock rock!!
