Hey guys, after a little more than two years, I have been toying with the notion of selling the sporty to get a wide glide. Well I had someone call last night, love it(as I expected), and took it today. It was rough watching someone else ride away on my bike, but time marches on.... On a slightly better note, two years ago this past march, I paid 6750 for the bike, with 5450 miles, sold it today for 7000 with 15000 miles, and a few more mods.
gotta be tough... have been thinking of getting another bike, but also trying to figure out how to keep the sporty too.
very cool that you were able to ride that bike for almost no cost! prob cause you got a great deal when you bought it. no wonder you were able to easily sell it- great looking sporty.
oh man, talk about mixed emotions. I'm not sure I'll be able to let mine go. I think I'll be starting a collection. Good luck on your next bike purchase!
I'd say its hard alright.. I have all my bikes still. I never even thought about selling them. they weren't bought new or anything.
one consolation is I sometimes feel sad looking at them in the shed. only out once in a while
Yeah, if I could have kept it and got another one I would have, but it just wasn't in the cards right now. I almost didn't let it go, but I figured in the market right now, I was doing good to get that much for it, so I went ahead.
