Screaming Eagle Ignition Module
I just bought a Screaming Eagle Ingnition Module for my '05 Sportster andI cannot seem to get it to work. The instructions say something about checking the owners manual for a password learning procedure. I cannot seem to fin anything about this in the manual. It also says that I could have problems with the security system and the new module, but I don't think that I have a security system or atleast I have never had to deal with it before. If I plug the stock module back in everything works fine. Have any of you folks already solved a problem like this? Thanks in advance.

Ok, apparenlty the procedure in the link above does not work, or I am too retarded to do it properly. Does anyone else know of another way to get the ignition module installed?[:'(]

I was sent a link for a procedure that is slightly different than the one i previously came up with. I;ll try it tonight and see how it turns out.[&:]

I didn't have any luck with it this evening. Although the latest procedure I came up with atleast got it to do something different. I'll give that procedure a go again tomorrow, no sense killing the battery tonight.[

Pull the fuse that runs the lights, and it won't drain the battery. The procedure will work, it just takes time and patience. Forget about the exact 10 minute, look for the lights crap. Give it a good 15 minutes, each cycle. If you miss any one step (on/off etc. etc.) you have to start all over again. Also, what's strange, after I installed my SE module, I found I could go back to the stock module, WITHOUT having to do the stupid programing thing. I also had a Thunder Heart module on mine, with no learning procedure. I got a SE ignition race tuner, and bumped the rev limit up on the stock module, and now have that in my bike. The speedo was off with the SE module, and even though the Thunder Heart allowed me to calibrate the speedo, it would wiggle, where with the stock module, the speedo is rock solid. The 06's went to helical tranny gears, which is where the speed sensor works, and earlier modules were designed for straight cut gears.
