Default Hey, Is that a Dyna?

Just curious here. Any of you fellas see the post in the Dyna forum about the guy who was asked if his Dyna was a Sportster? I think he was a little offended by that question which is understandable in one respect. Go take a peek at the post, it's interesting to see what's been said. Here's the link:

I've been told quite a few times that my 1200C looks like a Dyna. I tend to agree with that but I still love it cause it's a Sporty! And it's so fast too!

If he's truly offended, he's got it all wrong.

I don't think it's meant as your making it out to be, though.

I had to laugh. I'm also in trouble with the Dyna group. I told the original poster that he should have just told the guy that his was the slower one.

My 1200C and Dyna WideGlide look very much alike..

They both have the 41mm WideGlide frontend, but the wheelbase on the 1200C is longer at 70", while the FXDWG has a wheelbase of 65". The Dyna is about 75 pounds heavier, and doesn't have the performance of the Sportster. High speed ride quality of both is about the same, but the 1200C gets about 10 miles per gallon more than the FXDWG.

My 1200C,

My Dyna WideGlide FXDWG,

LOL...I saw that Whaap. Thing is, Im not trying to cause trouble or mock but rather just "stir" the pot a little. Both bikes are SWEET and I love them both. Wish I could have one of every model HD makes. I just found the comments interesting for the most part. They are both Harley's and they are both special in their own ways. True, the Sporty's got over 50 years of heritage and tradition behind it and if I am not mistaking, the Dyna is not far behind but I would never say one is better than the other. They are both great bikes.....

Mine is a 2001 1200 sportster. When I bought it I sent a cell phone picture of it to a friend of mine, the one you see on the left here. He then replied with "nice...wide glide?"

The sad thing is that the friend I sent this picture too, is also the owner of a 2001 1200 sportster.

Oldfenderguy- I have to be honest and tell you that I like the looks of your sporty a lot better, the rake and chrome look really good on that bike.
