may not be big to you guys but I bought a Ultima 5 degree raked wideglide front end for my 87 sporty. I still need to get a headlight and axle spacers for my wheel.
what do you guys suggest getting for the axle spacer things?
is ultima a reputable company?
It's hard to say.....as far as i've seen Ultima products are reasonable, my air shocks and ignition module were both under the ultima brand. The thing is, ultima doesn't actually make a number of the products under their name, simply repacked with their name. Many aftermarket companies are this way. But all in all, i've never really heard anything negative about any products under their name. And I know a local guy who has two choppers that have Ultima motors and he's been very happy with them.
well I wanted to assemble the forks and do a mosk up so to speak before installation well.........
in the bottom of the fork that the axle goes through first, there is a allen head bolt sticking up about 1/4 of an inch into the axle valley not letting the axle slide through. When i try to loosen or tighten it, it just spins and does nothing. I am assuming this is a way to drain the oil but i am not sure. The other fork works fine and the same bolt threads in and out as it should. does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and if I can fix it myself?
