Unhappy @$%#^$&!!! solo bag!!!

Help... I am trying to properly attach my left side LaRosa solo bag to my bike. Not sure if I did it correctly... every time I hit a bump at highway speed the battery cover comes open.

There are 3 adjustable straps... 2 were attached to the tubing behind the battery case. Is this right?

any pics/tips or guidance would be appreciated.

There is a fix for the battery cover... Plastic zip-tie. There are many threads on this.

I am using a piece of double sided velcro. Cut wide enough to stay put on the frame side. Tough to install initially, but well worth the trouble.

Her's what I did. I have a similar solo bag from Lick's.
1. Use long velcro straps for the fender strap and velcro on the lower left near the pivot. Mine came with a small leather belt strap for the middle hole that buckles inside the bag.
2. The OEM battery cover plastic holders suck. The dealership just put out stronger clips that are pretty strong. They cost $12 a set(it's on the new 48s) and you only really need the front, but both would be better. Check out my "Finished project, check it out." post. I think I have the part number on there.
3. I used some thick clear vinyl to prevent the the bag from scratching the paint that rubs on the top of the bag.

I do ride a rigid, so it might be the reason why I can tuck it really tight against the cover. It should contour the shape of the cover, not overlap too much. Call Lick's and see if they will sell you the straps and ask them for the instructions. Hope this helps.
