Default engine tear down question

trying to get some power coating done to black out my motor.

so i have the primary cover off the left side of the motor and i have taken all the screws out of the right side cover and i have the oil filter mount off. i was thinking that right sode cover would just come off, but it doesn't?
Also how do i get the harley davidson plate off? it looks like it is riveted on. so do i just need to drill out they rivets.

Thanks

Drill the rivets out, and buy yourself a cheap rivet gun to put new ones in later, be sure to use aluminum, or stainless steel rivets. Then depending on the year of your bike, if it has the timing pickup sensors, you'll need to remove that and unbolt the timing cup. The later model bikes with crank sensors are setup differently so I can't quote about those. Also the cam cover will be a little stiff sliding off if you have the rockers installed on the bike still as that keeps pressure on the cams. It's definately easier if you remove the rocker boxes, plus in the chance that you pull a cam out with the cover you may need to pull the rockers anyways to put it back in. Oh yeah, a rubber mallet can come in handy to help break the gasket seal if it's sticking real bad. Do yourself a favor and pick up a factory manual, it's well worth the price.
