dynoed?
so my dad has just started racing his 1200 sportster, and he could only run 14.1, and our friend that has basically the same bike was running 12.98.. and our bike has more done to it.. well we were having problems with it cutting out like a sputtering down the track,, so we had it dyno tuned and it was 88hp and was climbing till they shut it down.. What do you think the bike should be running in the quarter

I would check your float levels, when you are on the dyno you will not get that force of pushing the gas towards the back of the carb plus the front end is extended on hard exceleration making the problem worse, I raced an old carbed crotch rocket at maple grove in Pa a few years back and had a simaler problem. Although my bike was running in the 10's. I adjusted me float levels higher then recomended
