A couple of months back my left rear stop/turn led combo started acting up the flasher indicator was normal clear and bright but the running light and stop light was dim, viable but clearly dimmer than the right hand side.As this is a sealed unit lens does not come off so you don't have access to the led's or wiring it was a bit of a problem.
fist check,,, check all visible wiring
completely removed the indicator unit and inspected.
swopped round connector under the seat..left and right and the left still didn't work properly,
the right worked fine stop/run/flash..
removed and replaced connector block completely, still no joy
started saving for a new unit as advised by the dealer.
Then this week I had to move my licence disk holder and because I had lifted my headlight I had filled the gap with a new hooter,I hadn't got round to actually moving the wires from the old horn to the new,So I did this removed the original hooter and put the licence disk in its place. licence disk position looks good, horn worked fine ...imagine my surprise to see my left rear light now working fine...stop/run/flash.HMMMMM.
