HELP! '07 883R not running
Hello all,
I have a 2007 883R with 5600mi. I recently had starting issues. The bike will cycle the fuel pump when the key is in the on position. The bike will turn over but not stay running. It will sputter for a couple of seconds and that is all. This is what I have done so far: cleaned air cleaner, charged battery, changed spark plugs, changed the battery in the key fob security system, checked and cleaned all fuses, and checked/tightened battery cables. One thing that I noticed is that the plugs were covered in carbon after one month. The only thing I have done to the bike one month before this issue is wrap the pipes and install Lick's mufflers with baffles. Could it be a fuel issue??? I have searched the forums for advice but haven't found a solution. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Are you getting any trouble codes?
Did you also cheak & clean the relays that are in the fuse box? one of them controlls the fuel pump.
It sounds like it's just running on the pre pressure of the fuel system when it starts but is not getting fresh fuel once it starts, could be that the ECM is not getting input from the crank position sensor.
