sounds like what I went through when I first bought my HD. I only rode with sport bike guys before, still ride with them, but had to make new Harley friends

Its a lot more fun and safer to ride alone.
Go when and where you want, stop when you want to, you don't have to worry about someone you are riding with running into you.
That happens a lot.

I'm from Northern NJ. I'll go riding with you. I am in Rockland County frequently.

Very Very rare that I ride with others. Riding is my sanity.

But if you want to meet riders or go on organized rides then try biker or not.

I'll do both ride alone and with a pack but sometimes, the best riding is when you are just cruising along by yourself enjoying the sound of the engine and the wind through your hair. I don't mind just coasting down the highway on my bike all alone sometimes and take the long way around or just go around places with no particular destination. That's what I got the bike for, after all.

After a while riding with the same people in a group begins to feel like riding alone anyway.

My regulars are diverse... 3 HDs (nighster, fat bob and dyna), 2 Big Bear choppers, 1 ninja, 2 Vulcans and 2 Shadows. We just like to ride.

I think bike nights might be your best option. But even then most people I have met are flakey when it actually comes time to ride. They make it out to be a chore to ride, so I end up going it solo most of the time. I've got two buddys who are up for a ride on weekends, but only if the weather is perfect, so I feel your pain man.
