Any Sportster owners 50+
R for Roadster,,why,,
I gotta Tach so I can play in the powerband and Dual front brakes so I can Haul er down to sub light speeds,,lol
Mustang Vintage solo 12.5 wide seat.
HD quarter fairing to keep me outta the Hurricane force winds, Hangin on the bars against a heavy wind blast wrecks handling. Ya gotta have a light hold so the front end can work like Its meant to.
Super Brace up front with 3/4" preload spacers and SE 20wt fork oil, I reduced Front End dive. Tracks like Its on rails in the twisties, even when I hit a ripple or bump all pitched over. Smooth control Is the Key.
Rear stock shocks,,The R model Is not a "Low" model so I got some travel.
Got the rear on the most preload an Im 235lbs in gear. I don't bottom out and I don't pogo. the Stock shocks work fine for me.
Stage one would be cool but I don't need It, have yet to see a stage one keep up with me.
Yup It's Box stock and Hauls ***.
BTW I'm 51 and If this Is my Mid life crisis I hope It never ends.
My Only complaint Is Im a workin man and I can't ride as often as I want.
FYI The pic Is right before the Superbrace went on, I always do one mod at a time then wait a while

I always thought I would have to be at least 60 years old before I would think about a bagger sled or even a windshield.

Fatbob at all. Since 04 I went from Sportster to FatBoy to Streetglide to Fatbob and now back to Sportster 883 Iron. I like the Iron most of all. You can customize it cheaply and uniquely, take it for the long haul or just around town. It will vibrate more than the others. Just use cushioned footpegs and get a universal throttle boss from Kuryakyn or a Crampbuster and the vibes are easy to deal with. Really enjoying getting back to basics with this Sportster. Lots of good memories of the older kids on my block riding them back in the sixties.
