Default O2 Sensor

My new short shots for my 2010 883N arrived late yesterday. I knew I wouldn't be able to get the job done last night, so I figured I would take everything off yesterday & puit it all on today. Anyway, the O2 sensor, are there any tricks to getting it off of the pipe? I chased the wires & unplugged them so I could remove the pipes, but can't get them off.

Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated!

I took my pipes off with the sensors still fitted and and then removed the sensors with a ring spanner just holding the pipes on the floor - easier than trying to do it with the pipes fitted.

I used a good old fashioned wrench. Came off pretty easy.

Got them off last night, once I had the right angle it wan't so bad. However putting one of them on the new new pipe...not fun. One of the pipes had a large metal burr in the threading. I was tempted to send them back & have them send new ones. Decided to play around with it and finally got it knocked down and got the new pipes on. They sound awesome. Too bad it was 11:30 at nigt when I was finished. I think the neighbors already called the cops on me. The sheriff rolled by the house slowly @ 11:45

Glad you got the exhausts sorted in the end, I found the shortshots a bit too loud with standard baffles - I put quiet baffles in, it's not much quieter but it is a deeper sound.

Did you choose the short shorts over any other pipe for any specific reason? I'm looking at getting the V&H Big Radius 2-into-2.

I had 2 mandates for the new pipes #1. Black #2. Loud. I just bought the bike so funds are still low. I figured the short shots were going to be the best bang for the buck. They sound great. However, I wonder what they sound like @ 50mph. Still in break in period, so that is all I can do now.

Sory off thread here--I haven't run into anyone who has been disappointed in the V&H line of full exhausts--they only issue I've ever heard of is with the new RSD pipes a guy got blisters from the heat against his leg when sitting idle for so long. The Short Shots sound awesome at highway speeds--I loved the shorties on my first Sportster, great sound, great look, and good performance. Wish I still had that bike:

Any reason you didn't go with the short shots on your iron?

Just for performance--I read where a 2-1 exhaust can generate more hp & low end torque and I wanted to see what this exhaust could do--happy with it, and plan to upgrade to a 1200/1250 engine this winter, so we'll see next spring (funds dependent, of course) what kind of hp/tq this can do.
