Take it to your local service station and let them put a good patch in it...

Just my opinion, but I would buy a new tire before letting someone put a 'plug' in it....

I concur with the above statements plugs are not very road reliable. Personally I would get a new tire. I just don't feel comfortable on two wheels with one "kinda good". But if funds are limited, a patch.

I would buy new. For some reason I don't trust plugs or patches.

I work in an automotive shop and we plug everything we can. I can't remeber the last patch we done. I even plug all my own stuff. I think its mostly a matter of perference. I think there's more risk of the glue comming undone in the tire or the patch not sealed good enough. Theres just more that can go wrong with a patch. And a plug is so much faster.

I couldn't enjoy riding with that in the back of my mind. I would replace the tire and have in-fact done that with a tire having less than a thousand miles on it.

I figure my life is worth it!

Replace that tire man. It ain't worth finding out if a plug held longer than a patch! Tim

I agree with the replacing the tire suggestions....

Put a lot of high speed 'cruising' miles on my bikes (at least 20,000 a year) and I wouldn't want to trust either a patch or plug in a tire.

Might not be quite as critical in a car or truck where you have 4 wheels on the road at any given time, but on a bike, with only two wheels it's a completely different story.....
