I mainly ride for pleasure and worrying about a patch or plug failing at 75mph on two wheels isn't my idea of pleasure. You gotta do what you gotta do, but I'd get it replaced asap.
i read somewhere that since most of our tires are high speed rated, that once you patch a tire you must de rate it to a max of 70 mph.
that alone tells me to buy a tire asap. i've been able to "feel" a plug in my car and that would be much worse on the bike. my .02
