ok so on my iron 2010 883, would it be OK to simply undo the signals, clip the wires, tape em off then hide the wires? would i get any warning lights or screw anything up?

If your leaving the rears in place it may cause the rear signals to flash really quick, remove the front bulbs and try the signals, if the rears flash really fast you will need a load equalizer like the ones available for LED lights.

I removed my fronts a couple months ago. Don't clip the wires in case you want to put them back on or sell them. The connectors are under the tank. Just follow the wires and remove. The rears will blink faster but whatever. You wont get any warning lights.
