I have an 08 nightster. I have a passenger seat for it and thats where the problem is. The seat is scuffing up my rear fender really bad. I only put that seat on when the girlfriend is going to ride with. I'm not sure on the brand. It is possibly a mustang. It is one that slides into the back of the factory driver seat and then bolts down in the rear to the fender. Is there something I can put under the seat to prevent it from scratching it so bad.
That would probably be the HD passenger pillion. And you could get felt from a fabric store and cut a piece to go under the seat. A thin rubber mat may also work
Try sticking some felt on the rubber ***** under the seat...works good with wood against wood, say a dresser to a hard wood floor, kinda the same concept. I have the same seat and i will probably do the same when i have the old fender replaced. I kinda got hit from behind a month ago. Anyways, try that, let me know how it might work. You can buy some at CVS or Wallgreens. They should be the perfect size.
I don't have rubber *****, either. Go to Wal-Mart and in the electronics section they have little rubber ***** (intended for speakers to not mar the floor) that self-adhere to almost anything. Stick them on the bottom of the seat. Problem solved.
There are also screw on rubber feet, used on some electronics gear, that come in various sizes.
I used them on my sundown to raise it up some.
They screw into the plastic seat base easy.
That way, you can have the feet sit on the frame, not the fender.

That's a great idea, Brett! I'll have to look at that for mine, too.
I have the mustang 2up day tripper, it has rubber feet *** whatever you want to call them under it. The fender is no good anymore so I'm just going to wait till i get that replace then use felt or some kind of soft cloth to pretect the pain.
