Nobody but you knows your style, so we can't tell you what to do with your bike. See, I wouldn't have purchased that bike in the first place (which is probably why I have a Nightster instead), so the fact that I would go with a custom paint job based on flat and glossy black interweaved really doesn't pertain here. You have a "pretty" bike, so I would lean more toward a single glossy color or a custom paint job rather than flat/matte black, which is more appropriate for a rat bike. Sorry I can't be more help.

Why ask us - it`s you that has to ride and take care of it - you make the decision

I have a nightster as well (suede blue and black). I like your bike just the way it is. What is it that you don't like about the color? Or what other things do you want to change? You still got pleanty of time, look at lots of pics and attend bike shows or meets and get some ideas. I saw a cool paint job on a bike last week, it was on a Big Dog chopper. It was a bunch of $100 bills floating about and they were all on fire. it was an awsome paint job. Too bad it's a local bike otherwise I would have it done on mine if my paint job ever gets messed up.

Im just gona throw my two cents in here, dont mean to offend anyone. I wouldnt go with a flat/matte color simply because everyone is doing it now and half the nightsters you see have these new denim colors. The reason people usually paint their bikes is because the old paint is trash or they want to be original, not look like a factory paintjob. if you are painting it yourself maybe go with a simple graphic like scallops or lace, that would be a little different.
