Default countersunk hole?

I just picked up a headlight from a Sporty Custom model (2008) to put on my 2006 XL883. I currently have the 'brow' mounted headlight. I know I have to drill a hole in my lower tree, but I am wondering if that hole is countersunk or not? From the looks of the bolt that holds the lower headlight block on, it looks like the hole would need to be countersunk because the bolt head is HUGE! If someone with a custom model can run out and check and see if that hole is countersunk I would really appreciate it! TIA

Are your trees solid (smooth) or concaved underneath?

The lower one is sorta concaved underneath. So I guess this would answer my question then huh? Drill the hole big enough so that the thread portion of the bolt goes through but not the head of the bolt.

Yep, that's how I'd do it since you will not really see the bolt down there anyway unless your really looking for it. Plus you could always cover the head of it with a Hot-Topper.
