Default Labor question

my bike is two months old... i am having issues with it starting... i made a post about this before and the replies it received didnt remedy the situation.... since the bike is covered under warranty, i shouldn't have to pay for anything done to the bike... however... will i have to pay for labor?

Nope, It's called a warranty and covers parts and labor.

You shouldn't have to pay for labor if they determine it is a warranty issue.

Depends. If it's not starting due to a warranty issue - say a bad ignition, then parts and labor are both covered. You give nothing but a thank you. However, if the problem is something not covered, say the problem is bad gas, or something that you may have messed with and screwed up, then you'll be paying for the labor - unless the dealer's service dept is really cool and doing you a favor.

what problems did you have with yours? I too have '06 1200XLC.

So far i've had oil leaking out of my A/C after the 1000 mile service... 2 nuts fell off the of the exhaust flange causing a loss of power due to an exhaust leak, and now it won't start unless i wiggle the wire around. it pisses me off that its only 2 months old and already having these issues.

i put nothing but the best gas in it... i've done nothing to this bike so far besides a skull fuel cap and a fork bag. so this should certainly be an warranty issue. sadly though, i know that this service department is a bunch of d!ckwads, so we'll see how it goes.

Still could be a bad gas issue - we don't know what's in those tanks underground, how much water is leaking into them, and how long it's been there. Anyways - most likely it's not a gas issue since you've been buying the good stuff.

Best of luck, let us know how it goes.

As I have posted before my voltage regulator went out at 500 miles. but my warranty was up because I had a back injury right after I bought it and it sat right through the time limits.
