bmxatv, dude, take the squabbling to PM. Everyone can draw their own conclusions about Certainteed.
Now, with that out of the way, I might be able to make this ride. I was supposed to have my daughter that weekend but she's wanting to spend it at her friend's house. Any idea how many riders are expected to show? I'd definitely want a bunk but probably won't know for sure if I can make it until the middle of next week.
The poll showed 8 but some may not make it and others are bringing friends so 8 sounds about right. I'm not sure if Certainteed cancelled the cabin reservations but he did mention first come first serve and I think everyone so far is camping in a tent so unless there are a lot of folks out there, you should be good to go on the bunk.
If anyone is on the fence about going: go for it anyway. The worst that could happen is you get to ride some amazing roads and maybe meet a few of the whack-jobs who frequent this forum.
I'm going...I'm coming from Fort Campbell, KY and I plan on staying at a hotel in Bristol, VA (around exit 5)...is anyone else staying in a hotel?? If so, where at? I figured i'd pick the same hotel as someone else...if there was someone. I'll be out there Friday-Sunday. A little about me...28, male...In the army for almost 9 years, 3 deployments(2 Iraq, 1 Afghan) I ride a 2009 Sportster Custom...I have a windshield and a sissy bar with a luggage bag....and I GPS on my bars.
If anyone is over my way I don't mide riding with them. At some point i'd like to exchange my number with someone thats going to be at the Campground...to make sure I can find you!!
