Tried to order dakota digital for 2011 48
And here is the message I got in return
"Thank you for your order at this time we have not tested this gauge on the 2011 bikes yet. From what we have determined so far is that Harley Davidson changed they type of signal they are sending to the gauge. If this is the case then the MCL-3204 may not work on your bike correctly. Please let me know what you would like to do with your order as we cannot guarantee that this gauge will work and if it will cause any damage to the bike or gauge if you decide to connect it."
Can someone confirm or deny that Harley changed the signals they are sending?

I called a harley dealer in Kansas City (since that's where the sportsters are made) and asked them the question...the man wasn't sure, but he checked and the part number of the ECM is different on the 2011 and the 2010...
his advice was to wait until Dakota can confirm that it does work...
