I think the 98 still had the crossover pipe up in the headers rather than down behind the mufflers, if so I don't think they will work as they wont have the crossover pipe bung.
Yeah the 1998's have a cross over pipe up under the AC and the 2007's have one that is under the bike and the slip on's bolt to. Also the slip on's for the 07's have a bung on eash muffler to go into the lower crossover. By the way the SE slip on's suck IMO, they cost alot and do not sound all that good. Get a set of RUSH slip on-they sound much better and cost less.
