major issue
so my buddy has a 96 softail, and he was cleaning the carb with carb cleaner and the little red straw shot off the bottle into the carb and into the motor!!!
can this do any real damage? i told him to leave till i found somethin out. the motor shut right off after the straw went in.

If it were my bike, I think I'd start taking it apart until I found it. Melted, goooey plastic doesn't sound good. If it were burned to carbon *****, it still couldn't be good for the rings or oil passages.

Pull the spark plugs and take a look inside. The plastic may have fouled the plugs. The engine stalled from the carb cleaner not the straw. There are no oil passages in the combustion chamber and the soft plastic is unlikely to cause damage to the rings.

I'm dying to know how this turns out. Please keep us updated. I hope all is well. However, for the cost of a few gaskets, if it went that far, I'd want to know where it is. Just my $.02. I'm not a tech.
