Default Break Light

I removed my rear lenses and bulbs from my 2010 Iron so I could have a clear access the rear fender bolts so I could install a sissy bar my friend made me. After I did the job I plugged the bulbs back in and did a check of running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. Everything worked except the right break light. Just to make sure I didn’t have a faulty bulb I switched the right with the left and tested the brakes again, first with the front brake and then with the rear break, and the right break light was still out. I am not an electrical guy so I’m at an impasse. Does anyone have any advice to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks in advance.

But did you check your spelling? :P

My vote is on a damaged wire. It might have been in a bad state to begin with and moving **** around might have finished it off.

I would first check to see if you pinched or cut a wire while installing your bar. If wires are good check plug connections and grounds. Good Luck

I did check the wires. I have a new development in the right side. Not only does the right break light not turn on but when I engage the right turn signal the turn signal blinks as normal for the first 4 blinks then the turn signal blinks at a rapid rate like it's on crack. The left turn signal works as normal. I found no relay fuse for the blinkers, only relays for the system and ignition.

The quick blinking indicates that the circuit is somehow damaged.

For me, my front right signal blinked rapidly, telling me that the rear didn't work.

Check your wires again.

Allright, I'll check it again in the AM. Thanks.
