hello all, I am having a issue with removing my forward controls for mid controls. The linkage that is connecting my forward controls to the brake the bolt is extremely stuck. I have broken two torque wrenches trying to remove it. Ill post pictures tonight any ideas though on how to remove this bolt??
You didn't post any pictures so hopefully you got it apart. Sorta confused that you are using a torque wrench - did you mean torx? I would spray they sucker with WD-40 every 20 minutes or so till it comes loose. Good luck!
If you look at that picture it is the same linkage on the brake side.
Here is a better picture of what is stuck, this is the other side but it has the same screws.
Well, since I can't see the pictures, (my workplace blocks photobucket pictures), I'll just point out the fact you should not be using torque wrenches to break bolts loose. You should be using a wratchet or breaker bar.

I think he meant should NOT use a torque wrench.
I think the OP meant torx, not torque wrench.
Try heating it up with a hair dryer or heat gun. The heat should help get the factory loctite loose. You could also try PB Blaster or some other penetrating oil. Use quality torx bits. I bought these while in the middle of that procedure, iirc.
