Default adding a dash?

I've got an 86 883 xl w/ 1200 kit on it. It was my fathers bike and he put a different tank on it. I think it's a fat bob tank, but not the big one with the two gas caps. I am wondering if it's possible to put a dash on that will accomodate the speedo and a tach, which i don't have. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

Chris

I dont see it being a problem to mount a dash on your tank. Youll prob have to weld a mounting bracket to it first though. I would recommend using a tank flush to remove the gas fumes, along with purging the tank with air (air hose, compressor) while welding to it.

If it is a Fatbob tank,JP cycles carries a dash mounting kit, very reasonable.Comes with or without ignition switch.Check their website,They have a technical section that can help with installation .
