tried a metz on mine, only 144 wide, the dunlop is 157 wide. not sure about the avon, was out of stock.

I switched from Brickstones to Avon Venoms on my touring bike,, big difference, I love the Venoms.. Not sure yet what I will go to when the Sporty needs tires, but Avon will definitely be considered, and Brickstones won't.

I think you might wanna try another brand besides a "avon" .Their whitewall tires tend to turn brown where the black meets the white after the first wash. Im on my second set already because avon sent me a new pair and Im having the same problem. I know my harley davidson brand tires dont have this problem i dont know about any other brand.
