Default Strut help Please...

Hey guys, I was gonna replace my rear schocks for some rigid struts and was hoping to get some help. Do I have to lift the bike or can I just stand up straight with a wheel chok thing. Sorry its a dumb question but I'm new to bikes and trying to do all this on my own. Thanks

hey... although using a lift would be the easiest option, I can tell by your question that you probably do not have a lift... so... without lifting the bike you can replace the shocks one at a time.. but you will need help from somebody.. unscrew the shock, then secure the strut at the bottom .. then ask your friend to lift that side of the bike while you quickly secure the top... not that easy, but doable...

Thanks, I don't have a lift. My buddy does, but I wanted to try on my own before I ask him for help(or his tools) everytime I need to work on my bike.

Stupid question coming up......ha ha....that strut looks good and I assume this hardtails the rear end ?? do you then have to run with less air pressure in the tyre ? and does it put added strain on the rest of the frame ?
