ok i am ready to put on my 16inch apes i got a few months ago on. i wont be doing it until the winter but i want to start to get a things ill need. first thing i notice is the riser. i dont think, wait i know i dont want that riser on with apes. but i dont know how i will keep the stock speedo, dumby lights. any suggestions?

You will have to go to a place like J&P Cycles or, Custom Chrome and get some parts!! Maybe there is a dash you can get or, a speedo with the lights on it that mounts to your bars. The big issue is going to be the wiring that is all hidden in that riser and redirecting them.

Not sure if anyone has any suggestion for hiding the wire connectors hidden inside your riser but something I thought about was getting a straight one off an 02-03 model. I wans't crazy on using the pullback riser with my apes. I never got around to doing that. In hindsight though, it's not too bad with the stock riser. For a short time I had a tool bag strapped up there and it hid it. After the tach kit went on its pretty much blended in and doesn't look too bad.
